Information:-The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), an autonomous Society under
the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, is looking for prospective candidates for filling up of 02 nos. positions of Research Associate-I, under the scientific projects “Cryosphere and Climate” and “Microbial Diversity of Antarctica”. The positions are purely temporary on a contract basis, initially for a period of one year. Candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions are invited to attend a walk-in-interview at National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research, Headland Sada on 23rd July 2018 (Monday). Name of the Post:– Research Associate-I  “Microbial Diversity of Antarctica”

Consolidated Emoluments:- Rs. 36000/- +(HRA)

Max. Age:-35

Essential educational qualification and experience:- (i) Master’s degree in Marine Science (Biology)/Microbiology/Biotechnology or equivalent degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.
(ii) Three years of relevant Research & Development experience in microbial ecology and biogeochemistry of aquatic ecosystems, as evidenced by publication(s) in peer-review journals.

Job Requirement:-To play an active role in all facets of the microbial diversity project through participation in polar expeditions, data acquisition/analysis/interpretation, and publication.

(Registration will start from 09:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. An interview will start from 10:00 a.m onwards)
