Pay scale ( वेतन ) : Fellowship @ Rs.15,000/- + 20% HRA per month as per CSIR OM no. 4/CMG/2016-PPD dated 4th July 2016 and NABI rules.
Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : B.Sc. or equivalent degree/diploma with minimum 55%
Desirable qualifications ( वांछनीय योग्यता ) : a) Prior knowledge/experience in plant tissue culture, genetic transformation and maintenance of transgenic plant materials under in-vitro and containment conditions. b) Prior knowledge/experience for performing various farm related operations and field experiments. c) Basic knowledge of computer such as MS Office, Excel, Power-point, Internet etc.

How to apply ( आवेदन कैसे करे ) : The interested candidates may appear for a Walk-In-Interview on 10th April 2017 by the prescribed application form available on the website www.nabi.res.in. The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of registration from 0900 hrs to 1100 hrs on 10th April 2017. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates would not be interviewed.
General instructions ( सामान्य निर्देश ) : The project is a part of the Multi-Institutional Core Project entitled “Development and Transfer of Technology from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia to India for Bio-fortification and Disease Resistance in Banana”. Project duration is up to November 2019 but in no case shall exceed the duration of the project. NABI may or may not select candidate against above mentioned research position, depending upon the suitability of the candidate to carry out high quality research. One month notice will be given by either party for the termination of engagement. The engagement is for the specific project as mentioned above and shall give no right whatsoever for automatic consideration against any other position/opportunity at NABI. About National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute:
National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is the first Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, established in India on 18th February 2010. The institute aims at catalysing the transformation of Agri – food sector in India. The institute has the vision to be a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value added products based on Agri-food biotech innovations. The main research focus of NABI is to harness biotechnological tools in the area of Agriculture Biotechnology, Food and Nutritional Biotechnology so as to provide sustainable and novel solutions towards quality food and nutrition.
