Communication and Partnerships Specialist

Pay scale ( वेतन ) : The salary for the potion is as per market rate and negotiable which will be fixed based on qualification, relevant experience, interview performance.
Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) :  Master’s degree in business management/international development, communications, journalism, and/or a combination of skills and experience in these areas.
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) :  Minimum 10 years of total experience in institutional partnerships, donor relations, and/or communications with at least 3 years in leadership position.  Strong experience in knowledge management in the development sector.  Excellent documentation and computer skills.  Experience in working in the development sector, especially on health programs is preferred.  Experience in designing and implementing strategic partnership plans.  The Partnerships Specialist must be able to actively engage with a wide range of partners from donors to governments, corporate to social sector bodies, media, including web-based platforms, and other stakeholders.  She/he should also have good experience in planning and executing moderate to large events.  The Partnership Specialist should be sensitive to ethnic, cultural, gender, religious, and socioeconomic status of THALI beneficiaries and communities.
Desired skills ( वांछित कौशल ) : Leadership: (1) Ability to take initiative, manage complex workloads and deliver outputs to agreed deadlines; (2) Having a high level of drive and energy and a commitment to excellence; (3) Having innovative problem solving and conflict resolution skills; (4) Ability to seek, receive, process, analyse and return information critical to knowledge management from project personnel at all levels and working under different technical streams. Communication, Networking and Representational Skills: (1) Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for networking to establish effective working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders; (2) Ability to communicate complex information verbally and in writing to diverse audiences; (3) External representation, relationship building and persuasion among diverse partners; (4) Ability and strong interest in working on and engaging with media, social media, weblinkages, etc.; Language: (1) Fluency in oral and written English. Additional ability to speak, read/write Kannada and/or Telugu preferred; (2) Strong documentation skills with ability to develop, review, copy edit and edit documents, including reports, technical documents, communication and advocacy products. Computer: (1) Ability to operate MS Office applications with high proficiency, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Having additional IT skills including a good understanding of the Internet and web-based media is an strong advantage.
Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) : Be an active member of the THALI Central Team, engaging with all program functionaries and areas.  Assist the Project Director in developing, rolling out and improving THALI partnerships and non-traditional investment (TB) plans and activities  Enable, facilitate, support and manage THALI partnerships with TB and non-TB partners.  Lead THALI visibility and reputational capital through excellent documentation of THALI activities and outcomes, media engagement (including social media), coordinating public relations activities and event management.  Plan and execute events on behalf of THALI, including around World TB Day, annual and/or end-of-project, or at other times considered important for THALI’s knowledge management or mandate.  Support or lead, as needed and in coordination with city/state teams, strategic partnerships in alignment with THALI’s vision.  Produce quality reports and ensure timely reporting of THALI activities to donors and to internal and external stakeholders. Manage knowledge management internal to the project team.  Identify and work with vendors and contractors engaged on THALI communications and partnerships  Support the PD in identifying and engaging THALI partners, including collaborators and investors.

Community Outreach worker

Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) :  Candidates with minimum qualification of SSLC or equivalent.
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) :  With experience in field work of 3 or more years.  Must be resident of local town of operation, where candidate will be positioned.  Candidates with previous experience of working in the field of TB, HIV Care & Support, with urban slum population and social marketing would be given priority.
Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) : Responsible to conduct community activities as per the outreach plan  Responsible to provide care and support services to chest symptomatics and TB patients  Working closely with Community Coordinator in carrying out project activities.  Linking and coordinating with local RNTCP staff and other stake holders.  Ensuring maintenance of correct data  Recording, maintaining and reporting of daily project activities as per project guidelines.  Ensuring ethical principles in terms of confidentiality/coding and sharing of data  Responsible to carry out field work, related to project requirements, as and when required

Deputy Project Director

Educational requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : Masters in Social Sciences /M.sc in Health & Science or Master’s degree in a relevant medical field, public health, health systems management and/or equivalent discipline
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : Minimum 15 years of total experience with at least 7 years in a leadership role.  Experience, or at least strong capability, in developing and executing strategies and plans for implementation of programs.
Desired skills ( वांछित कौशल ) : Good leadership, Liosoning & managerial skills with abilities to work government departments.  Excellent Communication in English  Willingness to travel
Job responsibilities / description ( उत्तरदायित्व) : Coordinate with Project Director to liaising with NACO and other Government of India departments to ensure the institutionalization of policy changes and enhance access to Government schemes for all beneficiaries.  Coordinate on developing project reports with Communications Manager and finalize other USAID reports.  Coordinate with Project Director for develop needs based requests on program from USAID/NACO/NETSU, weekly updates and any other reporting requirement of funder as well as Government of India and state governments.  Manages Delhi based OVC project personnel and support administrative and financial functions.  Work with Project Director to liaison with Delhi based sub partners in the project.  Conduct field visits to Project areas to understand field level implementation, successes and challenges.  Work closely with PD to sensitize National Program on successful innovation in the project and advocate for its integration. Work closely in coordination with Karnataka Health Promotion Trust staff working in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility to interface with New Delhi based companies.

Karnataka Health Promotion Trust was set up as a partnership between Karnataka State AIDS prevention Society (KSAPS) and the University of Manitoba, Canada in the year 2003. Karnataka Health Promotion Trust focuses on supporting and implementing initiatives related to HIV/AIDS and reproductive health.
