With the visionary Dr Vikram Sarabhai at its steerage, INCOSPAR set up the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) in Thiruvananthapuram for upper environmental research.
Indian Space Research Organization, shaped in 1969, superseded the past INCOSPAR.
