Pay scale ( वेतन ) : Rs. 38,000/ Per month plus HRA as per norms for Master Degree Holders, Rs. 40,000/ Per month plus HRA as per norms for Doctoral Degree Holders
Desirable qualifications ( वांछनीय योग्यता ) : With Doctoral Degree : Ph.D. in Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Home Science Extension, Rural Development/ Management OR With Master’s Degree : Master degree in Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics, Home Science Extension, Rural Development/ Management with 4 years/ 5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements.
Experience requirements ( अनुभव ) : Rsearch experience
Desired skills ( वांछित कौशल ) : Knowledge of computer and gender study report writing

Age limit ( आयु सीमा ) : 40 years for Men and 45 years for women as on 01.01.2017 (relaxation in age as per Government of India norms).
How to apply ( आवेदन कैसे करे ) : Interested and eligible candidates may attend the interview and should furnish two copies of complete bio-data along with duly attested two passport size photograph and supporting certificates/ testimonials (from matriculation onwards), experience certificates. They should also bring original certificates for verification
General instructions ( सामान्य निर्देश ) : 1. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The services of appointed candidates will stand terminated automatically after expiry of project or completion of the period indicated in selection offer, whichever is earlier and the candidate will not have any right for absorption in ICAR-CIWA/ ICAR. 2. The selected candidate shall be required to work in rural areas and travel extensively within and outside the State of Odisha. 3. The Director, ICAR-CIWA reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process. The decision of Director will be final and binding in all respects. 4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. 5. No interim enquiries will be entertained. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the position.

About Central Institute for Women in Agriculture (CIWA)
The Working Group on Agricultural Research and Education, constituted by the Planning Commission for the formulation of the Eighth Five Year Plan (1992-97), recommended the establishment of a National Research Centre for Women in Agriculture (NRCWA). Accordingly, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research established the NRCWA in April 1996, at Bhubaneswar that has since then been upgraded to the Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture (DRWA) in the year 2008. Keeping in view the role of women in integration of farm and household activities, AICRP on Home Science started in the VI Five Year Plan (1980 – 85), was merged with NRCWA in 2007. Since its inception, DRWA has been in the forefront undertaking research on issues affecting women and the opportunities in agriculture. It has focused on participatory action research in different technology based theme areas involving rural women to test suitability of technologies for women and suggest for their refinement.
